I happen to be an artist, who just happens to be holding a camera. --A quote I found on FB.

I have been an artist since day number one. I remember vividly painting as a kid with Billy Joel's "Just The Way You Are" playing in the back round on the radio. I remember walking around with a toy camera and snapping everything in sight as a toddler too! Always doing something creative with colors! Paper Mache! Drawing! Painting! Sneaking my mom's real artist markers! Over the years I have fallen in love with many artist mediums! Polymer clay pins for family gifts over the years like no ones business! Taking apart things & turning them into necklaces or pins. Growing up in an artistic family seemed normal to me. Going to galleries and seeing my Aunt's paintings hanging in a museum was just a regular day for our family. Christmas was always so much fun seeing what we could create for each other to wear or hang in our homes. I have a very extensive collection of art due to being so lucky to have been born into my family.

3 AM Art started out as an idea at literally 3 AM when my eldest was an infant. I was putting him back to bed and decided then and there photography and art was my dream for my work. I made him his first story book in paint on my computer. I took him to his first ever photography studio with his cousin and I dragged along a very beautiful old fashioned sled with us. Every single photo was destroyed. The film in the camera was sliced down the middle and all the photos were ruined. All that time. All that lugging. All the coordinating times with my family to get the kids in similar outfits and have their pictures taken all gone. Down. The. Drain. I was very upset. But I learned a valuable lesson this day. After we were refunded and apologized to, I bought my very first high end camera and started my business. Your memories, like mine are precious. This is why I have multiple cameras, multiple SD cards and a second shooter on staff. You don't want a failed SD card ruining your special moments, nor do I! I take your memories seriously! As seriously as I take mine.

I have worked in a variety of jobs over the years, a Vet tech, a nanny, an artist. I was the President of the Wilbraham Children's Museum when my kids were small. I also for a short time worked for the Children's Museum as their treasurer as well. I forced myself to speak in public on a number of occasions and found it was something I don't like all that much, but when my Grandfather passed away and I wrote his eulogy, I found it was much easier to do than I had originally thought and I had been putting too much on it. I also love to write and I'm as yet an unpublished author in addition to the art & photography. In all things I have always found it best to DIY (do it myself) and photography is one of those things! I'm the closest thing to you taking the pics! I listen to my clients and following their wishes, they want the pics to look a certain way, I am on it!
